A Mother's Love

Hi Prasad, very good idea for a photo and lovely subject. I like the framing and composition for this shot, close-up and at-level with the mother's hand so that it is intimate and we can really sense the connection between the mother and child. Excellent too how we can see the smallness and fragility of the baby's hand in comparison with the mother's. Good composition and balance with the mother's arm emerging from the background from the top left, leading the eye to her hand, then the baby's and then the baby's little fat elbow in the lower right. Nice simple background to make this pop out and for us to focus solely on the connection or bond between the mother and baby. Now, I would really recommend using a light source other than flash because flash lighting, especially if not diffused, washes out tonalities, makes things look flat and cold, and washes out colors. If you could get some good diffused incandescent lighting or nice natural lighting in from the side (coming from a higher angle) that would really help to retain the warmth of the overall shot. Great idea though and well-composed. Thanks for sharing!
