[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
just three lights in the sky...

I used landscape mode and no flash. I didn't touch the picture later. The lamps (itselves) are indigo and the ceiling was light brown. But, the picture came out like this. I suprised and like it :)

Critiques [Translate]

Hey Esra!
I like the composition, it reminds me of a visit to the dentists. Those annoying, bright lights that seem to blind you when you look directly into them. Everything else, becomes dark around you and all you focus is on the light.

I like the way the objects look, and the way you were able to capture the darkness. Good contrast work!

Very bizzare that you were able to capture the lamps so clearly, but not get horrible overexposure from them. I have a lamp that I think would produce a very similar image, but I never imagined photographing such a boring subject. You have created a very beautiful piece from such simplicity.

very nice. the tones are so good. suggestion, push the main composition off to the left or right, somewhat, for more visual interest. I like your pic so much; wish I could take a picute like yours. would like to see more in your note. regards, ck

Hi Esra,
love this graphic composition with the three lamps. Very good perspective with the soft light over each lamp border giving depht to the shot. Amazing black background. Did you do some pp work on it?

I like the cascade of lamps, the way each overlaps the other, and the way you can see the filament in the bulb. I also like the extensive negative space, although I would have cropped it a little out of the 3x4 ratio that digital cameras ussually give. [Actually, I did... Check the workshop to see if you like it]
