Very little pp work here. I wanted to take a photo with shadows, so I moved this chess table by a window where I could capture this shadowed look.

Symbolically, this photo can represent meeting personal goals, or overcoming personal challenges. To grow as a person, we must look at ourselves, our lives, our actions and interactions to set achievable goals. For me, challenges are about becoming the best human being that I can possibly be, and the measurement isn't compared to any other person. I am the opponent. It's a day to day personal evaluation.

I hope your Sunday is a great one!

Olá, Dennis!

Great idea and very nice contrast.
I like the way you composed the picture.
Well done job. Congratulations and TFS.

Greetings from Brazil,
Bruno

Hi Dennis,

Well said! I really like the detail you've captured on the standing piece, and it is nicely placed in the right third. Very sharp, and the shadows are well presented. This photo is well suited to B&W, good job.

TFS and have a nice Sunday!
Werner

Hi,as a chess player I find the metaphor appropriate.Greetings Otto.

Hi Dennis,

Dennis, you chose one of the hardest task a photographer could undertake. Keeping a black & white gray scale in all the proper proportions and perspectives. The white King has lost his contrast of highlight and shadow because of that. Everything else held up quite well. The sharpness lacks a bit. Did you understand my discussion about taking time exposures with or without a cable release. If you didn't get that let me know, I'll refresh your memory. Great effort. Never be afraid to try, try, try. Cheers, JoeGoff.
