This is my first untouched pp photo. I did size it for posting and added the frame, but that's it. I was happy.

Symbolically: IMO security is an illusion. The log resting on the rock may appear to be secure, safe from the roaring falls just ahead; however just a nudge would send it over. Some put security in wealth, job, talent, power, but in reality security is a very fragile concept in this volatile world we call home.

It's Monday...I don't like Mondays, but I hope it's a good one for you!

Hi Dennis,
Nice job! Great control of your settings and well displayed. Good POV. TFS Julie

Hi, Dennis,

Hope your Monday turns out well :) I like this image, including the long exposure softening the waterfall and the good detail in that depth of field.

The framing is elaborate, perhaps more so than necessary, but that's a matter of taste for which we all have some latitude here on TL.

I quite agree that security is not to be found in the fleeting things you've listed. And while I don't disagree about the log, sometimes there are surprises. I've shot a similar branch near a local dam that hasn't moved much in the past three years. Maybe there are roots and connections below the surface that I do not suspect nor see.

Good work on this.

Regards,
Jim

Very nice motive - great movement of the water and the quiescent pole as a branch - very well moved

Hi Dennis,
The smooth and silky water flow is most attractive and was enhanced by your low shutter speed. Interesting to note that you are testing the highest aperture setting capacity of your cam with good results. A very commendable work, and even more impressive with no pp work save for the re-sizing. I agree with your symbolism. Regards
Danilo

Hi Dennis,

Good job with the slow shutter speed, the water flow is nicely smoothed. Composition is very good too, with the log running along the upper third division and the curvature of the falls well seen. No pp work either, great work!

Best regards,
Werner

Hi Dennis,
This is really good work, my friend!
An adequate shutter speed of 1 sec to achieve this effect which is very pleasing.
Good subdued lighting and a nice warm ambient for this peaceful water flow!
A good Monday for you - if there's no Mondays there'll be no weekends!
Best regards,

Francis Xavier

Stunning image both photographically and philosophically! This false concept of security is very true indeed. I would have also added health as an important security fallacy, as we all think we are so invincible until ill health strikes us out of nowhere and you got few months to live....

It just takes a little push to send all our hopes and dreams crashing down. I love
your Point of view and discussion here and the more I read through your work, the more genius I see behind this viewfinder- great work my friend and keep up the good work you are doing in the world!

Have a pleasant day,

Hello Dannis,

This is extremely good shot.
The exposure of f/36 and shutter speed of 1 second is amazing.
Beautiful composition.

BRAVO!

Best regards,
Tatjana

Great water!
Lovely colors, wonderful idea!

Hola Dennis. A mi me parece muy buena fotografia. El movimiento del agua, da mucho dinamismo a la totalidad de la imagen. Te felicito por tus sabias palabras.
Saludos
Joaquim

You did a great job with the small aperture and long exposure - the motion of the water is very eyecatching, and the composition is great.

Personally I think you went waaay too far on that frame. A simple white border would be perfect; the bevelled edges, multiple borders and signature end up being distractions from the success of your photography.

Hi Dennis,

I must mention here that your skills in photography are getting better and better day by day and this picture is the live example of it!

The idea, the POV and the energy of the flowing water, are all together very well managed in this capture. The colors are great and the title fits your idea very well.

Great job, my friend!

best regards,
Paras

Sorry, I have no more smileys left for today :(

Good evening.

Dennis, GREAT interpretative photography! I really like the frame, too. You've come a long way, pal, in just the few weeks I've been viewing your photos. I think it's great that your have put such dedication into the art. I'm sure you will have many, many, more successful photos in the future. I can't think of one thing wrong with this image. Great Post!
