[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Found another lighthouse for Friday posting. This is another of the Sturgeon Bay lighthouses on the main grounds. As noted before the Sturgeon Bay lighthouses are operated and controlled by the U.S. Coast Guard and they do a wonderful job in keeping the two lights in prime operating condition. If you're ever close to the area stop by. It's a great old historic place and doesn't cost a penny to visit.

Thanks for viewing.

Hi Joe,

I really like lighthouses, and your composition is excellent. The problem I see with this is that it is a scan, and suffers a bit from the pp work applied. In my book this isn't a big deal, and because of a personal project I'm working on, I've tried to find ways to make the most of my scans. Although I can't eliminate all of the graininess/noise, I've done a quick workshop using Neat Image that IMO helps a lot. There is a free stand alone version of the software you can download. Hope you don't mind. And, yes I don't think the photo should lose any points for this.

Best regards,
Werner

Hi Joe!

So you have a history of posting Friday lighthouses; I haven't been around long enough to figure that out. I like this one, of course, I haven't seen a lighthouse that I didn't like. There are a lot of interesting objects in this photo, IMO. The light color above the dark is intriguing. Is it sand, water or sky? The sky has a unique look; help me understand why that is?

Very well done Joe!

Dennis
