[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is my posting for this week's "Intense Colors" theme. I live in western Canada now, so I don't see the intense autumn colours that I was privileged to view when I lived in Connecticut. The photo that I have chosen shows a glimpse of the trees at Beebe Pond in southeastern Connecticut. That small body of water is located just off Long Island Sound, between the villages of Noank and Mystic. I took this photo last year in October. The shot contains quite a variety of trees and shrubbery. Maple, Sumac, Ash and Cedar are included, together with many other species. The colours were quite intense right out of my camera. However, I enhanced them a little more with selective colour adjustments in PP. I did colour balancing and brightness/contrast adjustments as well.

Greetings John,
I like your strong composition,the small portion of lake really balances well with the larger area of colourful forest.A good choice for this theme.I'm afraid the colours look a little soft on my screen ,so did a WS to make them a little more "Intense" hope you don't mind.

John good compilation of colors in this shot. Well composed, I like the little bit of green leaves in the upper left along with the vine on the bottom gives a frame work for the central theme.
