After cleaning up after a bunch of heavy rains, wind and thunderstorms here I came up to the computer here and saw this shot appear on the screen as part of my screensaver selection.
The weather here has been so dismal lately, although today is showing signs of goodness and tomorrow's supposed to be better yet, this photo reminded me of how late in the season it is already--I was resetting all the outdoor light timers which may have had something to do with my thinking as well.
Anyway, no social values or messaging here, just something that I like and thought was pretty and emblematic of this coming change of seasons; leaves on the trees, green vines, boats in the harbor and yet mums, definitely an Autumn plant, in full bloom.
Trashed the exif data in the conversion somehow but still have the camera settings as entered in the upload page but lost the time and exact day of the date. Judging by the angle of the shadows though I'd estimate around 2 to 3 pm.
Shot in RAW, converted to jpeg, adjusted highlights and shadows. Used USM to add tonal depth and bordered, resized and sharpened for posting here.

Hello Wilth,
Pictoresque and artistic POV with magnificent brightness and vibrant colours. he composition is well set, too: the plants, wooden frame, lake and ship work together very well in harmony. Good story to accompany with. Great job, congratulations! TFS.
Greetings,
Kristof

Hi Wilt,
I like the view of the water through this wooden frame and what a view it is. The colorful flowers in the FG and the large boat in the blue water along with the rolling hills in the BG make for a wonderful capture. I really like this POV. Nice work.
Regards,
Kevin

Hello Wilt.. A pretty and colourful spot..Im wondering if you took more here from different angles, as you could have used this as a frame for the boat or for the people I see sitting on the righthand side.. certainly was a nice day, A pretty photo.

Cheers

For the time it was taken Wilt a surprising lack of OE. Nicely composed, good colour and well framed by the uprights of the pergola,
David

Nicely "framed" shot Wilt. You caught some great color,
and the summer feeling to it is evident.
Well done.

Compo-wise, I think I'd use the pole on the right as a natural frame here, Wilt. There's nothing of interest in the space that is showing through it, well, for me there isn't.
As a whole I love the green/blue colours in the tranquil scene. The flowers definitely add a touch of colour, even the ones in the shade.

Hi Wilt,

Yes dismal would be a fitting description for our weather as well - glad this picture came along to cheer us up.
Glad this view was yours if only for the few minutes you took this picture (yes I have been reading your answer to Terry - wanted to know if this could be your backyard).

TFS
Els
