[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Commissioned by George Washington in 1790, during the infancy of the United States, Portland Head Light has been a landmark of the Maine coast for more than 200 years. I grew up nearby, used to bike here as a child, and it remains one of my must-see places whenever I return to Maine. It is perhaps the most photographed lighthouse in the world -- and for good reason.

Hi Jim,
Beautiful point of view on this well known lighthouse!
I especially like the house of the guardian! Very typical architecture on the Maine coast.
You rendered the mood of a quiet day here, but I expect that this seascape must be impressive by autumnal storms!
Please, don't mind, I just noted a light tilt on the horizon in this very beautiful photo!
Bravo! Annie

Jim, you have hit a very soft place in my heart for photographs... Lighthouses! This one should be on postcards throughout the state of Maine as one of the biggest tourist attractions! Excellent color saturation and perspective all the way around. A+1 Excellente!!!

What a wonderful place that you have presented well, nice colours and clarity.

I enjoy seeing lighthouses well photographed.

I notice you have a dustbunny on your sensor just to the lft of the lighthouse, would be simple to clone out.

It's so easy to have OE on a bright day like this, but you managed the light excellent!
Great composition and lovely, bright and summer-like look.

Hi Jim,
This is a poster perfect shot. I note that parts of the roof are perfectly in line with the horizon.
