Northeast Harbor, Maine
Outside of Acadia National Park on Maine Route 3 was a beautiful view of Northwest Harbor. Just wish it hadn’t been such a overcast sky that morning.. When you are on the road, you can’t pick the best time or weather to get the best photograph.

Northeast Harbor is a village on Mount Desert Island in the town of Mount Desert in Hancock County, Maine, United States. It is one of the more remote villages on the island and does not experience the same crunch of tourist activity found in the neighboring town of Bar Harbor. It is recognized as one of the prettiest villages on the coast of Maine, highlighted by a remarkably beautiful harbor filled in summertime with spectacular motor yachts and sailing ships. The town of Mount Desert has a significant summer population, and has long been a quiet enclave of the rich and famous. The local waters are dotted with charming islands and offer some of the finest sailing conditions in New England. People are drawn to the cooler weather and activities found in Acadia National Park which literally surrounds the village with its thick pine forest crisscrossed by miles of hiking trails and carriage paths.

Hi Denny,
I see we have both posted harbours tonight. Nice shot of this harbour, the sky is a little over exposed but as you say when you are on the road you have to take every opportunity, nice framing of the shot between the trees and once again a superb frame to set it off. TFS

Hi Denny,

This is a nicely framed shot of the harbour which looks as if it is busy, if I just look at the water I get seasick I like to keep both feet clamped to land. The sky has a very grey look to it but the water is calm the pov is excellent the details good tfs.
