I passed the back entrance of this cemetery and this figure of a Fireman caught my attention as I have the deepest respect and admiration for all Firemen (woman) all over our world.. they are "running in" while the rest of us are "running out"

So here is my contribution to Helens (HAPPY BIRTHDAY)
OUTSIDE BW FRIDAY THEME.....

while taking this photo I wonder how many of today's Attleboro Fire Department even know of the existence of this statue!

PP: I did not just want to turn this shot into BW I wanted to try to give it a real OLD look like its been sitting forgotten.

Converted to BW added some noise blened edges added old frame in elements.. this is where it got hard. I had to decrease the canvas to get rid of the White BG...

The shadows are trees around the area..

The way you have used the shadows and the framing do indeed make this have a lonely, forgotten feel. I like the POV and the composition is just super, Tricia. Fine detail and great contribution to the theme.
Warm Regards
Wanda

Hello Tricia,

You have nicely composed this image with a thoughful feeling. The frame is providing a nostagic mood which is interesting. A beautiful shot my friend, well done.

Thanks for sharing this image.

Very nice Tricia! VERY bold and strong here! I like your tones and this is perfect for the theme! And I REALLY LOVE LOVE LOVE the old tattered framing you did with this one! WOW! What program is that?? B-)

Hello Tricia, I totally agree with your sentiment.A fitting tribute to their bravery.
I like your presentation, suggesting an aged photo.
A good composition; good lighting and just the right amount of sharpness.
