new bedford's south end is hardly an elegant part of th world, but it is full of memories for me as I was an AFSer there a long time ago.
new bedford, mostly famous as a fishing town and the town herman Melville sailed from, has a huge Portuguese population and these guys here run a nice flowershop . here my buddy Charles is helping me pick out my American mom's birthday present
AFS is an international, voluntary, non-governmental, non-profit organization that provides intercultural learning opportunities to help people develop the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to create a more just and peaceful world.student exchanges have beeen happening since 1919 and has allowed thousands of students worldwide to live in a foreign family as an additional family member , sharing all family activities and attending the local high school (usually in the senior year, obtaining graduation). Most students develop a close relationship with both the host family and their local friends and community, relationship that lasts through the years. I am one of those lucky ones and am expecting my "brother"'s child to come and stay next week for a few weeks and often spend my summer holidays with my AFS family still now.

Dear Anna,
the secret of the beautifulness of flowers is not in the colors of those, in my feeling, it is in the way we feel the image of those in our minds.
when we feel the colors and shapes of flowers, our sensation may recognize the will of flowers and plants, and this will makes the source and sauce of beautifulness. perhaps we enjoy and present this essence, of course like you about this shot.
