I had a laugh last night! I turned on the TV to watch a movie, The Thomas Crown Affair, and the movie was filmed in this museum! I got a kick out of seeing it again. This was shot there, as the sun came through the upper windows!
I sat the camera on the floor and shot upwards.
Have a great day!
Linda

Hi Linda

I like the repetition & angled pov, on the arches. The dark & sombre lighting here adds mood & mystery. Good sharepness & pov. Congratulations!

Hiya Linda

Nice to see you made it back OK.. what a superb shot.. an ants eye view, nice and sharp even in the low light. I love the way the softly lit areas draw the eye to look closer. Superb shot

TFS regards Helen

Hi Linda,

Wonderful shot, the lighting and shade are genius and the low POV really gives a feeling of space.

Cheers

Hi Linda,
Very good POV and capture of light! In this way, you show us the majestic dimensions of this great museum and, with this effective "clair/obscur" you remember us the old dutch painters! Bravo! Annie

Super POV and lighting for a moody, mysterious look right out of several movies. How did you manage to have no people in the way? I'm expecting to see the exhibits come to life and start appearing from the hallways:) Excellent shot!

Excellent POV. Love it.
Love the mysterious darkness of it all.
TFS
Pierre

Hello Linda,

This is a very subtle shot!
You have chosen a great pov to capture the light and those wonderful shadows!
Strange that you mentioned the Thomas Crown Affair because my first impression was that this looked like a film set!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Linda,
I am hardly looking for the word to define my amazement to this shot... (poor vocabs :D). Well, it is something like 'eerie', but not a kind of ghostly feeling. Arh... forget about what I feel.

I like the excellent light and exposure control here. You have a good detail on the shadow area. And the shadow of the grille had given a very nice drama here. Nice shot, Linda.

TFS and Regards,
Ramdan.

An excellent effect Linda, well composed and lovely darker colour. TFS,
David

Hello Linda,
I like the light and mood created in this shot.
Good use of wide angle lens. TFS

Hi Linda,

I like the light through the fence and the shadows it paints on the ground. Also the light around the statues of saints is very subtle and pleasant.
I did add a workshop to punch up the light and contrast a bit. Have a look and let me know if you like it!

Greetings,
Dennis

Great mood and a wonderful pov. So many interesting details to look at. Get the feeling that the slightest whisper would echo throughout. TFS
