Ok, this is from the Broadway Show, "Legally Blonde" and I can't tell you how I got this shot, or I will have to kill you... OK...well.... I took it during the performance...while visiting New York City last March. I was sneaky about taking the picture and it's definite NO NO... he he...which makes me a part of the paparazzi!

I put my camera under my jacket, set the whole thing on my knee as I was on an isle seat and snapped away. Since we were in the nose-bleed seats, I had a FULL VIEW of the stage!

So this is my posting for the Bird'sEye Theme! Hope you all have a great weekend!
B-)

Howdy Neighbor !!!
Excellent work on this and good for theme, very good.
This shot is worth a lot - could be very soon as historical one. Hey look down there, they have even a dogie on the stage... ha ha nice! and you had opportunity to see this famous place... good for you.
Work on this is excellent, thank you for sharing this.
Cheers - Tom:)

very beautiful shot

Hi Clamity,
The colours are striking in this image. Excellent idea too and well exposed. I'm not so happy with th etext in the picture though, it's quite disturbing. Nevertheless a nice posting to the theme!
Hans

Ahh, very sneaky Linda. I have thought about doing this many times.
A fabulous shot for 100 ISO, great quality and color.
Excellent POV and theme entry.
Well done.

HI LInda
Bird's eye view from the gallery.
You were well seated to get this shot, the inclusion of the heads gives the shot its atmosphere which is quite colorful.
A good shot for the theme.
Dot
I wonder how you would look behind bars? LOL

a pity for the head that block few places of the stage but this is really a very nice stage shot

Yan

Sneeky but very effective for the Theme. One get a birds eye view in the nose bleed section. Have sat there many times but never tried the camera thing. Impressive clarity at 1/30th and very good color - the dog is frozen as well.

Dan

Hi Linda,

this is beautiful view at the show. Not just the technical aspect of it, of course, but the thereatre atmosphere with so nice story.

Have a nice weekend.
David

Oh, a sneaky illegal photo!! Shame on you Linda
It does make it very exciting though, doesn't it?
Good result for not using the flash - it's come out really clear and colourful.
Definitely a bird's eye view
Janice

Hi Linda,

I cant believe you took this with the 12-24 you must have nearly been in amongst the performers.
Really nice exposure and colours and the audience heads just add to the ambience.

Douglas

Hi Linda,
Nice decor, nice rich colour scheme. The actors seems a touch overexposed. It hard to tell looking at a photo that size.
As far as the composition, I would had crop more of the bottom part to reduce more of the dead black space and bring the scene a bit lower. Still a nice image.
Cheers and happy shooting..)))

Wow! If this is "nose bleed" you certainly were lucky! Camera on your knee? If I put it on my knee, I would have shot the back of the person in front of me! LOL. The paparazzi police will come and get you! "Secret Agent" Linda

It's a nice addition to the theme. I like the audience silhouette against the performers.

awesome shot linda, this great fun shooting this style, high iso i assume, i got caught at my daughters play! i had no flash whats the problem? haha,
just love the sharpness and colors in this,
thanks!
scott

regards
nipun

Bonjour Linda,

Good image for the Friday theme. I wouldn't like to be a little birdy trapped in this theater. Must be scarry for him. However, this is a nice shot with good sharpness and exposure. Beautifull colors and the FG gives depth to the image. Nice work and TFS.

Very fantastic Composition and POV. Good atmosphere has been created here.

Well done

Sarwar

Nahhh...looks like a Barbie doll setup to me:) Cool shot, and good results taken from your knee! I like the dark theater atmosphere with the bright lights and colors on the stage. Is that a real dog down there? Fun details to study:)
