I love street shots, of people just going about their day. This was taken on a rainy day in New York City. I like people in motion, and then the man standing to the left watching it all. Hope you like it!

Hi Linda,

Like this one, wet day, sepia tint it all comes together nicely and the movement does add to the overall scene.

Very beautiful this picture.
A scene from everyday life beautifully rendered.
Have a beautiful day,

Hi Linda,

Great NYC photograph. The blur in the people truly gives the audience and idea of how fast paced NY truly is. I like the sephia colors as well!

Fantastic B&W Linda
Loved the B&W tonal range very decent composition, inclusion of man and focusing the back-turned man was a good idea.
The motion blur gives the capture a very good look.

Nicely done

Hi Linda,
Superb!
Yes I do like it much!
You captured just the right people motion for keeping sense at this daily street photo. I like also the light sepia touch. Change the names on the advertising banners and you have an universal photo that we can reconize in all big cities of the planet.
Congratulations! Annie

hi linda.
a magnificent piece of bw realism.
it is in the style, in my opinion, of Andre Kertesz.
i love it.

Hi Linda, not sure if he was watching, as he seems to be in motion:)
I like this street scene, due to the mix of stationary & moving people, with the blured cars flashing by them, certainly gives the mood of the hustle & bustle of city life.I like all of the advertising signs, leaves no doubt that this a city scene & what city is there, that does not have the famous McDonald's sign:)
Well taken.

Hi Linda,
Great work! You have guts to be able to get this close to people on the streets! Usually I'm quite nit-picky about motion blur, but in a situation like this it works perfectly. I don't think I'd be able to survive in a place like New York City, wouldn't be able to handle the hoards of people and cars, lol. Trust a McDonalds to be in sight, they seem to be everywhere nowadays. Anyway, this shot looks great. Good idea with the POV too. My hat goes off to you :).

TFS,
Scott.

H, Linda -
Awesome NYC street scene. I like the effect of the sheen of rain on the streets, creating highlights between the pedestrians. Great choice of b&w, the energy of movement is conveyed in the blurred figures. Great feel and mood - nice image! Any choice I'll get to meet you on your way through Pittsburgh?

Hi Linda,
Very dreamy shot, a wet day and the man is just going back to the days he was young and cheerful life was around....

Well done.

Hi Linda,

I really like the mood here. It looks like a still from a movie of some sort. I like how you have included the "Times Square" info. as it places you in NYC. Great black and white with the umbrellas, wet sidewalk, etc... very moody and mysterious to me. Also the angle of the road takes our eyes to the center of the frame. It just ROCKS! :0 Lisa
