Yellow Lilac
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Taken yesterday at Highland Park after the Lilac Festival. The festival concluded Sunday and the lilacs will probably not last much longer. I have not changed the color.
This very unusual lilac is called "Primrose". It is the only one with yellowish flowers. The intensity may vary with different site conditions, but is never the bright yellow that is sometimes depicted in flower catalogs. When planted near a pure white lilac, its unique coloration is most evident.
I resized, ran it through Neat Image to soften the petals, pasted it back in the original to preserve the photo information and sharpened slightly and added a signature.
In a workshop I'm showing a different view of the yellow . Which do you like better? |
