Tinkerbelle Lilac
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This will be my last lilac post for a while anyway. This makes an even dozen. I've shown many varieties and although I have more I could post I have other shots I'd like to share with you all. I hope you have enjoyed the collection. :)
Syringa 'Tinkerbelle' [Bailbelle] / Tinkerbelle Lilac
Hybrid cross between S meyeri Paliban and S microphylla Superba.
Wine colored buds open to a deep pink flower. A compact grower with small leaves. Fragrant Tinkerbelle is a hybrid cross between two dwarf Lilacs. Meyeri Paliban, better known as the Dwarf Korean Lilac and Microphylla Superba a petite pink mildew resistant Lilac. Both have very round leaves as does Tinkerbelle. Flowers are a dark wine red in bud opening to deep pink. This Lilac bush will be a true dwarf with mature height at only four to six feet.
There are well over a thousand registered varieties of Lilacs but still very few true dwarfs.
Cropped, sharpened, increased saturation just a little.
I will also post one other view in a workshop. |
