"The Julia Child"
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Also taken at the Maplewood Park on a dewy morning. This Floribunda rose is named after chef, Julia Child. It was the winner of the world's highest rose award for superior qualities shown in 2 years' nationwide testing and judging by the All-America Rose Selections.
Floribunda roses are distinguished from hybrid teas (HTs) because they bear their flowers in large, dense clusters or trusses with many blooms opening simultaneously in each truss. The flowers tend to be technically less perfect than those of HTs and may be single, semi-double, or fully double. Fewer floribundas are scented. However, they are generally more vigorous and tolerant than HTs. They produce more blooms and continue to produce them over a long period. And many varieties offer flowers every bit as big and beautiful as the HTs.
I cropped the photo, increased saturation only by 5, filtered through Neat Image to reduce the noise and pasted back in the original photo to retain photo information, then sharpened slightly, added a black frame and signature. |

Excellent work here Linda,
Good sharpness on edges and color saturations. I think if you use 'Smart Blur' option in Photoshop, you will have less flattening, and still more details of the petals without loosing the texture.
But this looks very good.
