[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On March 15th, Lara (Rychousmama) and I visited Philadelphia to see the "Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of Pharaohs" exhibition at the Franklin Institute. This is the second time the Tut artifacts have travelled to America, and I highly recommend it to anyone with an interest in ancient Egypt. The show has already been to Los Angeles, Ft. Lauderdale, and Chicago, and will be going to London after it closes in Philadelphia at the end of September.

No photos were allowed in the exhibition, so I have decided to showcase another part of the museum. The Franklin Institute is dedicated to Ben Franklin, a founding father and prolific inventor. He is very famous for his experiments with electricity, and in a small room of the museum there were tubes of pulsing electrostatic charge. Actually, that's what I assume it was, because I was too busy taking pictures to look for a sign.

Enjoy!

Remarkable, Sarah! Very beautiful colors, nice blurred effect. The details of the filaments are great too. The composition is smart. Congratulations!

I wonder if Benjamin Franklin could have anticipated the difficulties of producing electricity in high qantity and which solutions he could have promoted?

Mango

Sarah I like both of your photo's on this series, this one however just has more appeal because of the detail you obtained in the closeup.
Nice how the static charges show so well, did you have any problems getting the focus (it turned out very well) rerason I ask is because of the chaning nature of the subject?
Wayne

Hello Sarah!

A bit abstract look , but a very spectacular composition and result. I do prefer this one to the previous. Narrow DOF makes it great.
Bravo!
Robert
