IGUANADON :)
This humongous iguana is so huge, it measured approximately more than a meter in length from head to tail. I thought it was plastic until it moved and showed its tongue! It scared the s**t outta me but I apreciated its beauty afterwards and took some pics for keepsake :)

I put the eye of this spooker in this photo.

IGUANA
Although iguana can refer to other members of the lizard family Iguanidae.

Iguanas can be considered an invasive species along the gulf coast of Florida, especially on Gasparilla Island (where there is an estimated population of over 12000). This is due to a combination of escaped and intentionally released iguanas which have survived and then thrived in their new habitat. They commonly hide in the attics of houses and on beaches and often destroy gardens. As an introduced species, they contribute to natural habitat loss, spread salmonella, and may be responsible for the recent decline of the gopher tortoise.

Iguanas live in tropical rainforest areas, usually at lower altitudes near a water source (lake, river). They spend most of their time in the higher forest canopy, about 40-50 feet above the ground. Iguanas mainly like to stay up in the tree tops, away from predators. They also can move very quickly on the ground and are excellent swimmers. They have long sharp claws to help them climb trees and escape predators

Hi Fred,

Wow, this fella looks like Godzilla and it seems that this is some reptile that you do not want to mess with.

Hi Freddie,
This Iguana looks like a prehistoric monster; I've seen a lot of iguana's, but non like this one.
That said - I love how you showed his skin - I brought pieces of such a skin home from our holiday.
