Makes me wonder if the lock is keeping someone in or if it's keeping someone in. Nice capture Kevin.

It reminds me of the other shot you had with the lock ... maybe it is the same one, not sure without going through your gallery and finding it. Somehow, the sepia adds a nostalgic feeling to the photo.

I am like Katya and seem to remember a series of pictures you had done of locks. Very interesting composition with the focus on the lock on the very rusty gate. I think I prefer the B&W version as I am not a big fan of sepia. I realised that there are spiderwebs on the gate; at first I thought it was a scratch on the picture but then looking more closely I realised what it was...Nicely done!

Sorry, my bag is empty for the day!

Wonderful compo and tones Kevin !
Great light and DOF.
Very well done.

v

love the moody comp here kevin :)
good symetry

STRONG is the name of that compo! I enjoy a lot and good idea to show it in sepia! The old paint is very good for texturing!

somewhere in between?
In terms of colours:)
I see everyone arround is fascinated by lines in all shapes(including myself, LOL)

Your symbolism powerful as ever.I oike the fact things are to be seen behind the bars..........

Great composition, Kevin! And the DOF is simply perfect, showing just enough of the background to give the context. Not so sure about the spiderweb which looks too much like a scratch; it doesn't add anything to the image. However, kudos for the monochrome treatment!
