Another in my series of nighttime cityscapes taken from the West End Bridge. I could not use very long exposure times effectively during this session because the heavy truck and car traffic going across the bridge was causing a tremendous amount of vibration which was visibly shaking my camera/tripod assembly. The view of the city is so great from this bridge that I will have to go back at 3:00 a.m. sometime, when the traffic is reduced, so that I can shoot with longer exposures and higher f/stops.

Beautiful night shot...
Nice colors...

Hi Sandy,
The traffic difficulties you encountered to take this shot are handsomely rewarded. It is a good night shot of your city. The buildings are sharp, the lights drape the scene well, and the sky and water are given the right space in the frame. Next time you visit D.C and if opportunity permits, holler and contact me for a possible photo shoot. Regards
Danilo

Nice night shot Sandy! The buildings appear to be perfectly sharp, and the composition is great ... bridge on the left, fountain on the right .. great view of your city. I have to try this someday.
Have a nice day

Hi Sandy, my friend!

Another powerful night-shot from this great looking skyline! Superb details, with great sharpness and taken from a nice POV. The lights create a kind of magic in enhancing the beauty of the shot.

Wow iso 1600 , where is the noise ? Good job ! Setting iso 200 or more on my camera and there come the grains ! I am impressed by the clarity , i remember you posting a photo of the tall building with the pointed bits at its top , a delightful piece of architecture i reckon, nice view of your city Sandy , btw didn't you shoot from a hill also ? if this is still accessible wouldn't this be a more secure spot and less of a problem for camera shake as firm ground lies under your feet and a more peaceful environment for picture taking , just wondering ,
TFS,
Carol
