A night shot of the Carnegie Science Center, taken from an observation deck on Mount Washington. Per Wikipedia: "The Carnegie Science Center, located in the North Shore neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, opened in 1991. With a history that dates to October 24, 1939, the Carnegie Science Center is the most visited museum in Pittsburgh. Among its attractions are the newly constructed Buhl Digital Dome (which features the latest in projection), the Rangos Omnimax Theater, the Miniature Railroad & Village, and the USS Requin, a World War II submarine."

The strangely shaped blue object on the roof is a sculpture made of fabric, illuminated with color lights at night.

Hi Sandy,
Awesome night shot, the exposure looks great. I haven't been out for some night photography in quite a while, but I must say that this shot gives me the urge to do so. The streetlights look nice and defined due to the f/5.6 aperture, would be interesting to see how they look with an aperture of say F16 or F22. Great work.

TFS,
Scott.

Hi Sandy
Great light and colours in this night capture; I love the sharpness, the vivid colours, and the multiple elements of attention that your POV captured.
Best regards, mb

dear Sandy,
these beautiful violet, blue and green lights look so mysterious to me...why "science" needs strange shining...
maybe actual science becomes one religious belief as ancient magic, in my thinking.
therefor the center is like a shrine...
anyway, wonderful night view shot, all the lights show us really scientific scene,
thank you for your excellent shot,
Akihisa
