[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photo was taken in a marsh bay in Providence that runs along the ocean. In in W/S I am posting another photo of this guy bottom feeding.

Mute swans are easily separated from other swans by its orange bill and black knob above bill. They live in well-sheltered bays, open marshes, lakes, and ponds. They like to eat the leaves, stems and tubers of aquatic plants that grow at shallow depths in fresh, brackish, or salt water. They reach this food by extending the head and neck downward, frequently tipping the body but seldom completely submerging. Top flight speed is 50 to 55 mph.

Beautiful sharp and clear image.
The blue BG really brings out that swan.
Well done.
Pierre

Very interesting composition with the grass creating like a curtain in front of the swan. I like how you have controlled the DOF to get the swan sharp and the grass a bit blurry. The deep blue of the water is really nice against the white of the swan. I find it maybe a bit tight on the right as I would have like a bit more space for the beak but that is a minor detail. Well done!

P.S. the one in the workshop is very cute...

Hi Julie,
Beautiful depth with the herbs in foreground and deep blue water in back ground. At the middle, a superb swan with beautiful textures on the plumage. Very well done! Annie

Lovely colours. I love the way the swan is peeking through the long grass. Great POV
