[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the second of three images from my uncle's funeral that I will post. He was a good man and deserves to be remembered. I know it is not the normal medium for our images but with the weather and this nations flag I thought they made for extreemly emotional images. The image was framed and I cloned some people out to create a clean focus. Thank you for viewing.

Hello Eric
WOW.. I went back to look at your 1st image.. very strong and full of emotion! Sorry for your loss...

Nice idea to clone out some of the other people the Marine (?) makes such a strong statement standing over your uncle and our proud flag!

Eric,
Well presented here brother. You did it so well, I'd be interested in seeing the cloned people version also.
I think this photo may not be well received by some American haters and I would be ashamed if anyone tried to turn this solemn post into that.
I think the soldier standing guard for his fellow soldier creates emotion beyond words here. The stars and stripes, as always is stunning and the snow covered scene does create some great contrast.
If I had to change anything I think I would have gone with a thinner frame (yes the black works) and I probably would have crouched down to get a lower POV. A little sky here would make this very frame-able.
RIP to your Uncle.

Hi Eric

Nicely captured and well composed.

Our deepest condolences to you and your family and comrades to a fallen hero.

We need to thank all who serve for their country and stop criticizing wars. Wars will continue, therefore, respect is to those who battle for peace.

Cheers from Canada

Such a loss is beyond politics. My sympathies to you and your family.

A very effective photograph with the subdued, snowy backdrop.

this may become a very controversial image, for obvious reasons. unfortunately it is a very big part of world life no matter what anyone thinks. it is a good image but a very sad one. i commend you for your bravery in posting this and i hope others look at it for what it is.
i cannot give any points as this, i feel, would denegrate the sentiment.
please accept my sincerest condolences.
