Taking a walk and just strolling around the beautiful Spring time season at the Central Park in New York City. The jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir, more commonly know as the Central Park Reservoir covers a 106 acres and holds over a billion gallons of water. It was built in 1858 and 1862 and it was used to receive water from the Croton Aqueduct and distribute to Manhattan. After 131 years of service, it was decommisione din 1993. It was renamed after Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in 1994 to commemorate her contributions to the city.
