[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was shot with my Mamiya 645 Medium Format camera, shooting Portra 800 ISO color film, 220mm. I am always amazed at the sharpness of this 80mm lens. I took this on my trip with Tricia Treen to Rhode Island.
I was somewhat disappointed that a lot of the shots didn't come out, for some reason the film wasn't wrapped tight enough around the spool. But I got a few I'm real happy with.
Still playing and experimenting with this camera. I love the look that film gives!
Thanks!
Linda

Hi Linda,
Great mood in this. Really good color contrast and lighting. Ahhh- the days with film. Kudos to you for still using it. I love this. (reminds me of home, ha ha). TFS Julie

Hello Linda,

A very interesting shot, verging on the complete abstract, but with those few sharp leaves, nicely placed, creating a focal area.
The colours are stunning.

You had a difficult choice whether to crop the small amount of sky, losing the top of the twig, or leave it in, as you did. Actually both have their pluses and minuses!

I like your enthusiasm for film, something I haven't used for years!

Have a good day,
Bev :-)
Sorry, didn't realise I had used all my smilies, though I'm sure you won't worry.

Hi Linda

Good close up shot of the Autumn foliage & superb Fall colors, with impeccable use of a shallow dof, & just as importantly, punchy contrast & lighting. Tfs!

Hi Linda,

Exceptional image. Beautiful colors and play.
Have a nice day,
Adrian

La netteté est parfaite et l'arrière-plan lumineux et coloré apparaît à travers les feuilles.
Les tonalités rouge/vert/jaune sont brillantes.
Merci du partage
Jean

Hello Linda :)

Beauty, romantic composition in autumn colours.
Very pretty colours and lighted up background.

It congratulates realization and I greet You warmly.

Yes, sure you can be happy with this one, Linda, the colours are brilliant, also the sharpness. I like the light so much - realy good vibrations for me in these cold days - and it's getting dark so early now ... ääähhhh.
Thanks, now I feel happy, greetings

Hi Linda!
This is awesome how this photo presents a 3D effect, on my screen at least!
Superb brightness, light and sharpness! Your camera has chance to have a such skilled owner! :)
Bravo! Annie

Hi Linda!

Nice shot with perfect autumn colours! I like this bright background!

Regards,
Edward

Boa noite Linda
What sharpness and beautiful autumn colours.A real fantasy.
Um abraço
Teresa

Wonderful colour and great bokeh to create an abstract shot such as this.. Of course it's hard to believe that f16 gives such a shallow DOF but I know that things aren't quite the same with MF as with 35mm..

Gotta to give this a go!

Cheers
DAVid
