More yellow chrysanthemums from the Broderie Room at Phipps Conservatory & Botanical Gardens. These blooms were really huge. Though I don't know much about flowers, my internet research led me to conclude that these might be "irregular incurve" chysanthemums. "These are the giants of the chrysanthemum world. Quite often disbudded to create a single giant bloom (ogiku), the disk florets are completely concealed, while the ray florets curve inwardly to conceal the disk and also hang down to create a 'skirt'." Hi Sandy,

Another wonderful macro capture from yellow chrysanthemum with wonderfu clarity and perfect natural colors! The offcentered position of the flower works well here, with a blurred twin beauty in the BG.

Wonderful work!

best regards,
Paras

Hi Sandy,
Bright and cheery for a cloudy day here. A beautiful macro. Really nice lighting and nice cropping. Well composed. TFS Julie

Amazing capture here with great composition and DOF used to create a 3D like depth. The exposure, sharpness and colour are spot on as well! Well done and TFS!

regards,

Dilshan

Wow, great one Sandy. Compositionally, really well done - love the side light. The center of the flower is perfectly sharp, but yet the shot has an overall softness to it, which is really beautiful.
Great job
