In all of our lives, our days and hours are constantly changing. We travel along roads of ever changing time....Seasons come and seasons go and nothing remains the same...no matter how many stars we wish upon....

Let's not run through our lives so fast that we miss the subtle changes. Life isn't a race. Life is an adventure and a journey. Let's savor each step of the jouney and enjoy the adventure.....

Always look for the rainbow after the rain and hold tightly to the hand of the angel that is forever beside you.......

I was reminded by my Popcorn tree leaves that the season is changing and Fall is not far away. Mother Nature is a great guide to the changes in our lives. The soft, yellow spots in this sunlit leaf that I shot directly into the sun shows the leaves are beginning to turn, ready to dress themselves in their brilliant Fall colors just for us.......

Tech:
1. Tight crop.
2. auto exposure adj.
3. Adj. contrast
4. Resized in 4 steps
5. Cloned out portion of a leaf in lower left.
6. The blue circle and yellow circle are "sun spots" on the lens from shooting directly into the sun to get the outer glow of the leaf and the vein patterns highlighed by the sun. I decided I liked them and left them in the photo...
7. Made canvas and locked photo
8. Used "Insert lines" for green lines on canvas.
9. Applied logo...can you find it?

Thanks to all who stop by and for your critiques. I really look forward to them and appreciate your interest.......:O)Kat

Really great colours composition and interesting backlight. I think that sometimes the intenal reflections from the lens add to a picture. I like them here but I don't like the blue colour in this picture. I would suggest you make this spot the same sort of colour colour as the others.

Gareth

Thanks for a delicate picture and lovely note Kathleen. The blue spot... I would say it is an interesting diversion. One may say it could have been more artistic... but then how do you control sun spot? :-)
I like it for its intricateness and beautiful thought going behind it. TFS.
Mukesh

Hi Kathleen

I like the vibrant colors, & graphism, in this superb macro shot. The circles of confusion are great, & sharpness perfect. Well done!

Beautiful macro shot! The light and the colors are awesome! Very good pov and dof! Great picture! Michel

It have something on the presentation, il like very much! Then the detail is very nice. THe light give a great visual!

How well I am aware of the approach of fall. It seems that summer just got here though, doesn't it? The transluscent leaves make a beautiful subject and you have found a way to capture it well. The lens flare just adds to the spectacular view. Very good detail in the veins of the leaf too. Overall, a great post, Kat!

You really just know how to bring nature to life Kat. I love the way the leaf is backlit, and the colourful lens flare (I think that is what it is), is rightfully there in this case. I don't want to think about the summer ending. It's been so nice and hot this year, but then autumn does have it's splendid days of all those Canadian red, yellows, and golden colours. This is a first class macro, well focused and good and sharp. Well done indeed Joan.

CRISP! Thats what crossed my mind as soon as I saw it! AMazing one! Beautiful composition.. It looks very fresh... and yes! SUBTLE and fragile... :) Very nice PP. The colors are amazing and so is the DOF. :) I like the frame too.. :) Thanks for sharing this wonderful one :)

Take care..
- Hima.

hey cool shot, I like the lens flare on it you've captured. Cool looking shot, thanks for sharing with us.

I love the beautiful soft greens which dominate this image. The delicate shape of the leaf and the changing colours show nature to perfection. I also like the way the background is shaded to a very dark colour at the bottom showing sharply the outline of the leaf. Very, very nice.
