Here is the latest couple on the contry music scene! SandPiper and Per.
Per Hoj lives in Luxembourg and everyone on Treklens knows his skill and talent with a camera. But he is also an accomplished muscian and song writer (and a cowboy? I mean, ck out the hat ya'll!) and he and I share that love of music. We decided to put ourselves together and play "Dueling Banjos" for all you members.

I took some self portraits of myself and sent them to him to do his magic of placing himself in one of the photos

So from all the way across the ocean from Luxembourg to Southern Alabama USA I proudly present Kat and Per, together.....The New Kids in Town.....
*******************
Tech:
My part:
1. Used tripod and set up equipment and shot using remote
2. Emailed to Per
3. He returned photo with him righ there as tho I was looking right at him.
4. I adj. contrast and color levels
5. Resized using 5 steps
6. Sharpened.
7. Locked photo to painted canvas

Per was nice enough to give me the honor of posting this photo and I am proud to do so. We had fun working on this project, and Per, a personal thank you for doing this with me....

Hope everyone enjoys this.......:O)

Haha....thats really great Kat...!
I agree with David that this may start a whole new trend around here! Cool!
The picture is great. Your jacket and banjo are totally styling. The banjo is quite beautiful. You put a great smile on my face and I really needed that today!
Thanks Kat and Per for a great classic picture and bringing two worlds together from afar.

What a great idea! Hi,Kat! Hi,Per! So glad to see you both together! But I have a problem with my computer! I cannot hear your music! I will have to fix that! Very cool image and the pp work is extraordinary! Very well done! Big hugs from Canada! Michel

Beautiful composite! Do you ever run out of creative ideas? Who would ever have thought of a trans oceanic jam session! Great post and great ideas for enduring friendships. You go girl!

Per and Kat this is absolutely wonderful. I had to run and get my husband to show him this. With my excitement and explaining so quickly, he thought Per had made you a visit in person. You guys are the greatest! A fantasy duet, country in style, and perfection to it's fullest. I hope both will sign the album when I buy it. One from Luxenbourg, the other from USA, and here you both are gracing my screen in Canada for an English person. What a world this electronic place is. Absoultely great.
Love the hat Per and that denim shirt.
Kat, please leave that jacket to me in your Will.
Now, who do I give the points to......

i can sure here it in my head
in fact - i have the mp3 here on my laptop
just can't figure out how to spell it phoenetically as text here - lol
really great effort to both of you - congrats

Hi Kat, it's Monday morning, I just switched on the computer, and there it is already. You are so quick. I only mailed this to you last night. Now, what can I say - theoretically I am not really supposed to critique this, am I? But I can at the least give you all the smilies available for providing a terrific base photo, complete with country queen, garage door, mike stand and amplifier. Pasting myself in was no sweat with such an ideal backdrop and angle. Well, in fact we did prepare this in style didn't we? Working out distances to the camera and heights above the ground and what else. Let's hope it starts a trend - it's work but fun work. But where did your signature heart go? Or did I just miss it again? (And that title makes me think of the Eagles - and they are my absolute favorite band of all times)

Nice theme Kat, and this suits it perfectly, you could be setting a trend.

Hi Kathleen

Thank God you're a country girl, lol! Excellent graphism & well framed & composed. Superb sharpness, too. Well done!

The world is getting too small!

When are you guys doing a group photo of all the TL artists....?
It would be very difficult to guess that it was two pics.. excellent... :)

Yeeha! (I take it that is the expression) - nice idea and very well executed :)

A lovely composition Kathleen. This picture had some minitious cutting and pasting involved. But I spy with my little eye ;-)... the cutouts are still clearly visible as cutouts because of the sharp edges and high contrast to the background (for example left side of picture) There must be ways around it, haven't done that for some time but I'm sure somebody can indicate you how to :-)
The frame is a rather dull colour (imo) and the lines don't really connect evenly in the corners.
Still a great accomplishment. TFS

Excellent work to the both of you. This is a great idea and it brings people together.

Hello Kat.
The only person in here I do not understand is Walter. You did a very nice thing !:-)
Is this your boyfriend on the guitar ? Nice looking man

Bye bye
Josine

Hey, I'm really impressed here! Excellent work from both of you, Kat & Per err... New Kids ;o).
The only thing that gives it away a bit (and only after I read your note and looked more careful, really) is Per's right foot. Maybe it needed a bit of a shadow.
Anyway, awesome work! TFS.
Makes me think of "the devil went down to Georgia" by Charlie Daniels Band - if one of you had played a fiddle ;o)
