Diana (our Cloverstar) told me she would like to see another shot of Lizzie. After the honor she bestowed on me with the beautiful book cover, how could I refuse her request????

Lizzie is still with me and seems content in her home in the sunroom. She is still very tiny but now when I to into the sunroom and call her name and look closely on each plant, I will find her little head peeking out at me. She is trusting me more and more. Here she was in the motion of jumping up to a higher leaf.

I decided to place a large matt on the photo and stamp an insect for her to jump for.
*******************************
Tech:
1. Cropped
2. Adjusted exposure balance
3. resized
4. Applied matt
5. Cloned her tail to appear to be coming out of frame.
6. Stamped winged insect in upper right corner
7. Applied text.

My logo was applied naturally by the lighting or something. I did not put it there.....

Thanks to each of you for your prayers as we are bracing for yet another hurricane, Katrina. We are boarding up, as all are doing, and this time sand bagging as this one is supposed to bring more flooding than usual. We can only pray for all in the path and wonder at the fury of Mother Nature........ :O)Kat

Cool! I think she/he is a little doll! Such a cute "expression" on the face and almost a look of human intelligence. Wonderful DOF and colour display for such a closeup macro! I think macros are your strongest suite. The bug better be ready to retreat quickly!

Nice capture. I like your pp work. Fantastic. Good POV and composition. Nice frame too. Well done!

Nice capture of your pet, Kat! Just tonight we chased one out of the house - otherwise one of our cats would have had an extra dinner! I like the "out of the frame" look and the color and texture on the frame itself. Well done!

P.S. My sister has a dog she named Lizzie because she loves to chase lizards in the yard - rarely catches them though!

P.P.S. Good luck with Katrina. Whereabouts are you located? We're in Tampa Bay, and it appears we've dodged yet another one.

Hello Kathleen. Very nice work of composition. I just wish that out of focus plant on the foreground, cutting his tail, wasn't there. This is creative, the colors are crisp and the image as a good contrast of light. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Kathleen

I like the apparent interest of lizzie in the insect top right. Well framed & cropped, with a superb diagonal, & excellent sharpness. Good work!

Aaah! Thanks Kat for thinking of me. Another great macro shot of Lizzie. Can you keep her inside during the storm. Will you be evacuating again. I worry so much. I like the way her tail extends over the matt, and the insect stamp just adds to the scene. Very well done. Take care Kat with the storm.

great compo..... compliments....
and good luck for your meeting with Katrina...

It's so beautifull work! I like the vivid colors of that lizard! You give it a something feminine, cuttie! I like the insect and background you assemble on it! Congratulation!

Nice capture Kathleen.
Great compo...Congratulations.
Felicidades

Very nicely presented photo! from the sharp image of lizzie, the tail coming out into the frame, the frame texture, the DOF of the picture, the moth ready to be jumped on, the shadows of the frame, what else did you leave? One, you forgot one. The shadows on the outside of the frame at lower left hand corner to match the inside of the frame. Just being picky! Have a nice weekend.

I like this composition and the way you have used a very large frame around your portrait of Lizzie. Having her tail over the edge gives depth to the image I think. Also the added fly is a great idea. She is very cute. Hope she doesn't get too frightened by the storm and that she finds a safe place to hole up until it is over.
