What made my 2008 great? Great friends!

How could I do Treklens without my friends to talk to each day? Last year I met Silke Force at Niagara Falls and we became FAST friends. We talk most everyday, phone or computer and while we are NOT two peas in a pod or the SAME person (geez), we both have a love for photography and she is ONE wicked Scramble Queen…who can only be beaten if she LETS me win!

And then there is Tricia Treen who is HYSTERICAL…. OMG! I can’t tell you how many evenings we have sat up waaaaay past our bedtimes giggling on Facebook chat about NOTHING…just whatever comes to mind and it’s always a joy. We also have had some pretty in depth conversations and talked on the phone many times. Believe it or not, we have the same political, moral, and religious values…which means we often plot to save the world, until we get too tired and have to shut the computer down! HAHA!

And then there are little diamonds that are quiet, unassuming, but when you find them, it’s like finding a treasure. Lisa Williams is like that! We have talked on the phone and on email often and have a lot in common as “southern belles” do. She is a joy to have as a friend. An interesting lady that I hope to meet someday.

But I can’t say enough about my hero Hans Spruijt who is one BIG teddy bear and a wonderful man, well traveled, incredibly patient with me, and a joy to see each day online.

And then…….. **drumroll please**….I’m not going to be popular mentioning this name, but here goes….. Scott Hale There, I said it! **nyah** He is possibly the only man, other than my Dave who has made me laugh so hard I could not see the computer screen! Truly one of the funniest men alive, a PASSION for Treklens, and yes he CAN take a critique, I critique him all the time! A love for some DANG good music that he has shared with me and the man slaughters me in Scramble when he plays the game. But that’s because he conned me out of my secret strategy!

But let’s not forget Brian McDonnell who is really a cowboy who just got sidetracked and went too far east to be a Texan, but he sure qualifies in everyway. I love his work, I enjoy talking to him, even though we are NOT having an affair *sorry* all you sickos out there…the halfway point is out in the middle of the Atlantic! But he is a good friend. Xxxxxxx Brian!

To all of you a BIG HUG….and maybe…JUST maybe… In September I will see some of you at Niagara Falls again for a Trek Meet and get to hug you in person!....***ok…don’t worry Tricia…I’ll ask first! Come be with us as we inch Anders close to the railing, by luring him with liquor and steak!

Hi Dear Linda:)
Looking at this photo I can only say: yes, this is real friendship show. The way you capture emotion here should make better hope for everybody - hope for better world with love avoiding hate and wars etc.
You are absolutely right in your note and mentioned people are honored as well as me. I'm proud to be your friend just because you have great personality.
You have chosen B/W for this image... it makes classy look beside that - it tells the story of love and friendship.
I hope that I can be here in September, not on the road - Niagara is only one hour drive from my house... so hopefully I can meet you and other trekkers:):):)

This is a nice capture of a tender moment beteween good friends. Although I can't see the facial expressions the embrace looks heart felt. Nice work capturing the emotion in this shot. B&W is a nice choice of color for this picture.
