[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Recently I have posted a couple photographs from Hot Springs, Arkansas. They were fairly heavily post processed by comparison to this one, which is a view from the promenade on Hot Springs Mountain, looking down on the Arlington Hotel & Spa at the corner of Central and Fountain Streets. This town is old and little has changed in the subject area, architecturally, for the last 75 years. There are some great old art deco buildings. I will be posting a couple more shots of the bath houses in the next few days.

Tourists have been coming to this area for the last millennium, at least, for the healing powers of the waters that come from the mountain I stood upon to capture this photograph. The Arlington Hotel is a great place to experience the baths, and resort packages are fairly priced, especially as compared to many other places you might go.

You have to hunt for interesting things to do in Hot Springs besides looking at the National Park and taking in a bath and massage. Not that there is not plenty to do - there are several beautiful fishing lakes, lots of nice golf and even a horse racing track. We found some excellent restaurants, too. Our favorite was the Pompeii Restaurant for dinner. You can even hunt for diamonds at Crater of Diamonds State Park. We were there for our ten year anniversary, see this post (click here - it will open in a separate window) for our wedding story and why we got married in Hot Springs...

Have a great Friday and an even more wonderful Weekend!

Hi Reed,
This is a great view of this sa and recreational centre. The buildngss are sharply exposed, brightness is sufficient and I like its green surroundings very much. This type of view would be suitable for my miniature series that I'm doing nowadays. :) Good job, TFS!
Best regards,
Kristof
