Ok Linda, your hdr's stunned me, but now you throw out this! I love it. It is as tho' you waited for the sun to just drop to its' lowest level on the horizon, and at the last possible moment "CLICK". The detail in both the landscape and reflections is impeccable. Your knowledge of post processing sure is brought to the forefront here, and proves how much one can learn from notes. Interesting the pole on the thirds is so - vertical!

Quite a shot! 30 seconds in low light with a bannister for a tripod - great result. You gathered what little light there was to show the trees sharply with colors visible. The reflection on the water is really something. Well done.

That's impressive - I would've sworn this was a sunrise/sunset capture, to know it's after dark and a concentration of available light over 30 seconds is impressive.
Question: did you set the focus manually, knowing your focal distance, or did your camera auto-focus even in the dark?

Hi Linda,
What a wonderful shot! The water looks like it's made of marble! Such great exposure for that time of the night, the 30-second shutter speed looks like it worked nicely. I also love the reflections in this, and especially the warm tones. No chance of grain due to the low ISO - Impressive work!

I do love the reflection! The photo makes me think of a painting. Trees waiting in line to show the photografer their best side. I think the lighting gives that effect :-)And perfect sharp! Very well done!
