Fall webworm, Hyphantria cunea, is a common pest throughout most of the US and southern Canada. This moth in the family Arctiidae is a native of North America. It feeds on almost all shade, fruit and deciduous ornamental trees, but some of its preferred hosts include American elm, birch, hickory, and some maples. Tents are particularly common on walnut trees growing in the open or on trees at the edge of the woodland

Hi Cecilia...very cute pic of a caterpillar, sharp detail and i love the diagonal composition here. The simplicity of the shot - just the caterpillar on a leaf - is very appealling. Lovely shot!

Nice capture. Great DOF with very sharp focus. Strong diagonal composition with excellent colors.

what a pretty hairy caterpillar! :-) teriffic and detailed macro-shot with great sharpness and nice colors.
