The Buddha on my 4th floor balcony is projecting calm through the snow. He only received a little of the 12 inches (30 cm) that fell last night and through this morning as he sits by the building wall and away from the edge of the balcony. He is projecting calm that I need as my Pentax is packed, my luggage is, too. My computer gets packed next. I'm leaving for Paris at 7:05 tonight, if all goes well. The Philadelphia International Airport is still open, the Air France plane is on its way here, so far so good. Buddha, keep projecting calm!

I'll be gone for a week and will have a lot to catch up on when I get back next Sunday, the 19th. That's if I get out of here; calm, calm, everything will be all right...

I've posted a lot here but this is the first photo from Delaware (and it doesn't show much of it). From my photos, you'd think I lived in Minnesota, Pennsylvania or Europe. I guess familiarity leads to lost photographic opportunities.

ISO 100, focal length 23.7, slightly cropped and framed, this is my little point and shoot camera, because as I said above, his big brother is packed.

Hello Lois,
this is a beautiful, 'intimate' shot of your Buddha-statue. Sunken into meditation. Nothing can irritate, not even an airticket to Paris...))
Very good POV, comp., and I like the red of the bricks in here very much. Well done!
Enjoy Paris
Greetings
Guntram

Lois,

A very nice, peaceful immage of the Buddha. As nice as the fancy Buddhas may be in temples and similar places, I really like seeing "ordinary" Buddhas -- the ones that people have at home or find in small shops (I posted my own shot of this kind today: Buddha of the Street). Very funny note, by the way. Best of luck in Paris.

Another good one!
The crop/compo is all good news. The quality is 'Sports Extra' and your framing/sig is getting better each time.

Incidentally, I have a mini 'garden' in the middle of the house - a large terracotta pot, two large rocks, pebbles, bamboo plant and it is waiting for a Buddha. The surprising thing is that, despite my location, I cannot find a nice little chap to sit in my pot amongst the large rocks. The search continues.

The image itself projects calm and power. With your point of view and cropped the effect even more profound. I feel humble when look at this picture.
