[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
While on the photo walk in Georgetown, I was trying to make time because the sun was setting and while following the C&O Canal on the Capital Crescent Trail the sun had already dipped low enough that long shadows were cast on most of the buildings. This lone smoke stack reached high enough to be kissed by the sun though...

J'aime cette image et le jeu de lignes des cheminées et les couleurs de la briques exceptionnels Bravo précis et bien réfléchi comme angle de prise de vue Réal from Québec, Canada.

Hello Michael,
Interesting, how the golden light of the sun can brighten up things that are generally considered as ugly and all but photogenic.
Excellent light metering, contrasts and colours: they create an authentic mood.
Composition is effective as well, almost giving the smoke stack the aura of a church tower ;o).
TFS & kind regards
