Hi Pierette
A cute moment.
With your camera it should have been possible to get a sharper view of this, unfortunately the exif (shutter, ISO etc.) data wasn't brought across with the photo so I can't comment any further on your camera settings.
I do think it would make a more powerful photo if you did not have your subject in the middle. "Rule of thirds" is a good guideline to use - place your subject 1/3rd of the way across the frame and it will look better to most people.
I've tried a workshop for you.
Rew
Hello Pierrette,
A cute scene, indeed, but as Rew points out, it could have been stronger with more sharpness and a better composition. Oh yes: if you could have waited for just a second before taking the photo, then we could have seen the child and the kite seperately, with some empty space between them. I think that would have given a more powerful image as well. But I know how hard it is to "click" on the right moment when taking "spontaneous" photos.
Anyway, interesting work.
TFS & kind regards,
Erik
