~Sunset Hues among Silhouettes~
The Moments
While on the computer in my office I start to notice how the light coming in through the windows has this superb golden luminous quality to it. Within the next minute Melissa and Brian come in from outside to tell me to come outside and look at everything bathed in golden light. I was up and outside with my camera in an instant. Oh my....I said...everything was bathed in this beautiful golden light. Almost to surreal to actually be viewing this light display.
So you may be wandering how this relates to this current photo you are viewing. This photo is actually some of the end result of that golden evening. I love the sunsets we get from how our home is situated. The sun comes up and over our home in a diagonal manner with the ending sunset taking place in our backyard left corner. Usually the colors reflecting on the surface of our pool. I've seen so many beautiful sunsets from our backyard. However, with the trees from our neighbors and some powerlines these sunsets are normally difficult to capture. Oh how I wish we were in an more open space on this evening to capture the true essence of this natural display. I'm really not complaining but for some photographic purposes ideal positioning is ideal positioning. With that in mind I tried my best to capture some of this sunsets beautiful glory through the trees.
I do have some other pictures that were taken earlier and really display that golden moment.
The colors captured in this image just kept pulling me in. So I chose to upload this image first and see what everyone's views are on this shot.
The Point
Capturing a hopefully descent shot was indeed difficult on this evening at this moment in time. I was looking for positioning and trying to frame out the powerlines and the roofs of houses to capture this luminous colorful moment. I chose this position between these two giant trees and snapped away. While framing an image I hear lets go over to one of the stores parking lots so we can get the full view of this display....that was my friend Brian. I replied...yep and by the time we get there we could have this display or it could be changed and almost gone. So I chose to stay and not chase after the ideal positioning.....hmmmmmm one wonders though...one wonders.
The PP
pp-the original shot was framed in portrait. I chose to square off the image so a mojority of the top was cropped. This image was pretty much left alone. Only added +5 of saturation and no usm or neat image. Added framing and signature. I hope this image appeals to you for I have some more I would like to share of this evening. Thank you. |

It looks like a pallette of painting with colours in the process of getting mixed. Even your silhouettes are artistic Michael. Very unusual picture of sunset. Very beautiful.
