~Color Temperatures in Suburbia~

The Day
Brian and I were in the interest of installing ceiling fans in my garage on this fine day. Somethings don't work out how you planned them on any given day. We found ourselves with only this stepstool you see in the foreground and we had some chairs from our dining room table that the stepstool was being supported on in order to get us closer to the attic(obviously no pull down stairs for the attic). Well, lets just say that this was not working out very well. So, the ceiling fan installations were put aside for the day as Brian and I got easily distracted by the lighting that you see here, the worklight light coming from the bottom right corner and the palm trees in await for planting.

The Point
We had a lot of fun taking photo's for the rest of the afternoon/evening. But before we started rearranging things in the garage for some Brian in the palm trees photo's...see previous post's "And they came for him". I thought the blue light from outside along with the warm light from the work light made for some interesting color temperatures combined in one photo.
As far as the photo being too busy...this is probably and accurate observation. However, I like how everything fits in this composition. It's a reality photo..nothing was set-up for this photo...not until later did we actually set-up for the Brian palm tree photos.
And by the way the garage is much cleaner now since this photo was taken...! And we finally found a ladder and the ceiling fans have been running great ever since their install which was the next evening. Does wonders to cool down the garage.

Thanks for listening,
Michael

What a cool idea! The windows across the street add just the right touch. I'm glad that you're still pushing the envelope Michael.

What is interesting in this photograph is the play of light and the heat of the colors. You mixtures with grace all these different tone and we obtain a very beautiful effect which I imagine leave many insensitive people. Me I tell you cheer because it was a perilous excercice to have the good exposure time.
