Actually I think it is closer to the moth family but still... What an enormous insect! The wing span was easily 9 inches. Imagine opening a closet to find this guy munching on your sweater. Yikes! ;)

yea you right this is closer to a moth, in fact it's called an Atlas moth.
Well captured, good POV and nice details of the pattern.
