Finch I
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Meanwhile, back at the Butterfly Museum... I was going nuts photographing the wildlife! ;) Finches are some of the smallest, most fragile little birds I think I've ever seen. Unfortunatelly, they're also figety and hyperactive as heck! I quickly found that for best results manual focusing was the way to go. I tend to focus on an area (an area with food! ha-ha!) and, for the most part, let the birds come and go from that focus area. It takes a little patience but when you get a correctly positioned little guy, everything is ready to go and it's just a matter of letting the shutter fly...

I know how difficult it is to shoot birds and at many places you have to do manual focusing as that is the only way you can get the desired results. Keep it up. Lovely work.

This is a great shot, The colors, the contracts everything is perfect. I like it very much.
I just loved these finches! My husband and I were there in 2005 for our 1st wedding anniversary and came across the same finches. As a matter of fact, I posted a few shots of them. The details and colors on this are just great. Well done.
