[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is one of the many cats to be found at Ernest Hemingway's home in Key West, FL. Ernest Hemninway lived in Key West for over 10 years and wrote many of his works while living there. Numerous works were based on the people and places he encountered.
More than 60 cats now roam the grounds. About half of the cats are polydactyl, which means they have extra toes. Most cats have extra toes on their front feet and sometimes on their back feet as well. I believe the cat in this picture is named Emily Dickenson according to their website. Most of the cats are quite friendly, although this one had a "what are you looking at?" look. Cropped, sharpened and ran through NeatImage.

I like. The (fill flash?) added to this photo really brings out the vibrancy of the green in this comp. Plus, I'm a big cat fan, six toed or otherwise....

Paula, co-incidentally this story was on Belgian tv this week ;o). What I find weird about this picture is that the cat seems to be placed amidst the leaves with PP. It is much softer than the plants, and it has a bit of a soft edge. Did you use any PP here, or am I just tired and seeing non-events - in which case I'm sorry ;o) ?

I like the velevety-satin sheen of the cat - makes it look like a dream almost - plus I just love cats anyway!

The cat seems unreal here with a very clean and neat fur. The clearer areas on his face and head enhance the appeal of the animal.

Good picture

Quelle belle couleur de minou....belle douceur pour les yeux...

Very surreal and dreamy looking. I love it. Looks like you got everything you wanted in the picture - no unwanted things. Very creative.

Beautiful cat! I love the colors and cropping. Thanks Paula..

C'est vrai que les chats sont une source de plaisir infini pour ceux qui savent les regarder.
Le tien est magnifique, ainsi que la photo que tu as presenté.
Bravo
Uccio

Cute scene with the cat amongst all that lovely fresh greenery. The central composition works well in this case.
I notice the cat is more softer than the leaves. I think NeatImage picked up the fur mostly. I read in your note that you sharpened then used NI. I learned that sharpening after NI gives a better quality. I thought this may be a good tip to pass on.
I also saw a TV show about Cats, and they explained about the cats that have an extra paw. I found that to be very interesting.
Sorry out of points for today.
