[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On a recent trip to Key West, FL, my husband and I were out enjoying the day when we started to notice clouds building up overhead. No sooner had we decided to take cover in a local restaurant and have lunch, when the clouds in this picture started rolling through. Shortly after I took this picture, sitting in the nice, dry restaurant, the skies opened up and Key West had what they later called "the dry season downpour". It was quite ominous, but did make for some intersting photos. Cropped and adjusted levels slightly.

Hi Paula, you managed to capture a fantastic turbulent sky, i would have lieked to see it with a different composition but this is good. great dof

Great shot, the clouds seem like they are over taking the marina. Did this storm produce very much rain?

Your tones are very nice in this Paula.

Beautiful composition, with all those gray clouds. Probably a lower aperture would give you a better DOF.

I like very much this weather picture of a "classic" squall line with mammatus clouds!

I hope the same thing on Quebec City marina next summer...

Wow! The clouds almost look surreal. Powerful shot! I love how you can see the lighter sky in the reflection in the window of the boat, and the dark creepy clouds rolling in the background. The water is almost black - would be a great setting for a suspensful movie. You're really getting good!!

Wow Paula you captured the 'spirit' of this brooding storm with this shot, EXCELLENT! It feels to me like I will see the first raindrops fall any minute...very, very good!
