Your 1st posting is quite nice, even though the lighting conditions were not ideal. Keep up the good work and try to see many photos on the site to learn more about photography. beautiful sunset, pleasant and hot with the glance. I hope that you will smell yourself well in our great family TL.
I would like just to give you a light council which a large TL Mister gave me JohnTulip when I started here. Just to make a crop and to add a frame, I put the example to you of which I want to speak in workshop.

Welcome to TL. Hope it will be a fun experience for you. As John said, a note is always very helpful even if it is just a few words. A small frame would have helped with the white piece sticking out on the right. I do like the photo. Lovely orange and yellow colours. Good contrast with the darker water. As Vassilis said the light was not that great therefore the strong white part instead of a sun. All that said it is a very good first posting. Keep it up.

Nice 'entrence' you made with this photo..and I see that Yan already is the first to say some words to you.
Eric, all is new here, but a little remark for future postings, pleasse tell something in your Intro about the how-what we see-where and whye ..etc.

Also fill in something about your camera .. these things are expected by most of the members, but no one will blame you ..
since this is your first photo, and as my brain serves me well.. the first ten I did when I joined was also a ''spookey' experiance ..(smiles) I hope you like it among us Eric, its realy a nice site.. you will deal with people all over the world, even from Ottawa *__* Take care

Good start, difficult photo: shooting into the sun would require a lot of post processing afterwards. When you look at some of our members who post the original shots in their Workshops to compare, you'll see what difference photoshop can make.

That is a super starter post. I love the gradient colors all bledding so well. I lived on the west coast, so it is nice to see a Florida view:)
