This was taken at the Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory in Key West, Florida. The butterflies at the conservatory are not collected from the wild. They come from butterfly farming operations.

Nice shot with fantastic detail and colour. I'm not sure why having the butterfly head down bothers my eyes. I find myself wishing it was head up??? Maybe it's just me!! But great capture!!

Nice macro shot Paula..great sharpness and composition. I have taken a few shots of butterflies of late and they are some very tricky customers. You have this one nice with the wings fully spread out. I also like the fact that you have the bright butterfly contrasting the dull wodd colour. Nicely done.
