Pictured here is the "Spaceship Earth" geodesic sphere which is the centerpiece of Disney's Epcot Center outside of Orlando, Florida. It stands 256 feet tall (18 stories) and is made from over 11,000 panels of a material called Alucobond, which consists of two sheets of aluminum sandwiching a core of plastic. Inside the sphere is a slow-moving ride that focusing on the development of cultures and communication and the future of technology.
Epcot is Disney World's second park and opened in 1982. It was originally known as EPCOT Center with "EPCOT" an acronym for Experimental Prototype Community Of Tomorrow. Walt Disney envisioned a futuristic planned community of 20,000 residents featuring public monorail transportation above ground, vehicular traffic below ground, and no land ownership - all homes would be rented at reasonable prices.
Walt Disney died before the first park, the Magic Kingdom, was completed, and the Disney Company decided they didn't want to be in the business of community development.
Epcot was built as a learning oriented theme park, with dual focuses - world cultures and the advance of technology. Its size is over 300 acres, and cost $1.3 billion to construct - at the time it was the largest construction project in the world.

fascinating capture. It looks like a massive space balloon that landed on earth. Good perspective and well captured.
Very nice capture of the EPCOT's center trade mark! The POV is very nice and your composition very good.
Well done!
