[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Just a common squirrel eating a nut - the shot was taken at John Chesnut Park on Tarpon Lake in Palm Harbor, Florida. Wildlife abounds in the park, including a rather large population of alligators. We saw two on our outing this day, but they were hidden in the reeds and didn't make for good photos. We kept our distance just the same, and concentrated on less threatening wildlife, like the squirrel.

Hi Robert, wonderful shot of the squirrel. Nice composition and DOF. The colors are very springlike and warm. And he's looking directly at you. Fantastic. I had a shot like this the other day while taking a break at work. The squirrel was just starring at me and whoes me my camera was inside. So we had a moment and he scampered on eventually up the tree. Some other time I guess. Anyway back to your photo....Great detail and very crisp with excellent exposure.
Ok, just a few notes....For me his head is just a little tight to the top of the frame and there is a lensflare right on his naughty parts-not so much a critique on the lensflare but more of an observation and a little funny...hehe. Great Natural catch here! Very nice!

Good shot! Very clear and nice cropping. The colors are good and I like how the background is blurry but the rest is so clear!
- you should have gone for the shots of the alligators too! ha ha

Hi Robert :) what a cutie! i love squirells.. i used to have one that would always come and visit me in my window in england and say hello ^_^ i'd leave her nuts and she'd come and sit right next to me for a while then go and bury them in the lawn.. this is a terrific capture! so clear and sharp.. and such a cute little pose! we clearly have a professional model here ihihih, great work! - Ayda

Good one Robert! I think its the squirrels' era... Just kidding :)) But, I have been seeing more of squirrel shots recently. None was eating though... Its a really good shot. Patience really counts when U wanna click these little ones :) I like the Composition and the DOF. The colors are beautiful and in action. The detail is amazing and the angle U took it is very difficult. A PERFECT SHOT :) TFS :)

Take care...
- Hima.
