If I had my life to live over,
I would watch more sunsets.
I would take more chances.
I'd go barefooted all summer.
I would ride more merry-go-rounds.
I would dance more.
I would pick more daisies.
I would walk in the rain.
And I would take more photographs......
****************************************

This photo is an illusion without any post processing work! While lying in my hospital bed looking out my window I suddenly noticed that the setting sun was reflecting on the window pane. I sat up on the bed and realized I was viewing two seperate images. I unwrapped myself from all the tubing and got my camera and focused on the tree outside my 4th floor window. The image of the setting sun and clouds on the lower right is the reflection in the glass and the tree is the real image. I juggled the sunset reflection in my viewfinder until I got this photograph.
There is no PP, no cropping. I resized for the web, framed and signed.
Beauty is everywhere....even in a hospital window pane.
Love to all. It is good to be back home again....
:O)

Great to have you back Kathleen :)) Wow, you sure got blessed with a beautifull view in yout hospital bed. Thsi looks liek aposter. It is beautifull. Kath.

I'll give you two points for having your camera with you in hospital. It a great shot as well

It's a pleasure to have you back with us Kat. We sure did miss your photos and great notes.
I must say you had a lovely view from your hospital window. You managed the windows glare very well. Great sunset picture, and such a lovely tree. You handled with lighting conditions very well.

Hi Kathleen! Good to see you are back with us! There has been an empty space here on TL while you were gone... I hope your stay in the hospital will work out right!
Your note shows just how important photography must be for you, bringing your camera with you to the hospital...
Your shot is great, I was amazed to read you did no PP work on this one. To see a view like this is one thing, but to capture it too is another... :)
Very well done, and welcome back!

Hey! Hey! Look who´s back!!
:))))))) Biiiiiig hug!

Absolutely superb - but you are wrong. This is not an illusion, this is double reality. And that is so much stronger. The colour treatment, the mixture of sharp and soft lines, the frame, the little heart in front of your signature - it all adds up to something extraordinary. Thank you and get well soon.

Hi?

Even in a hospital-bed you create nice pictures. This illusion was here just for you on that time, you only had to "see" it and you saw it, now sharing it with us and that's nice. It is a beautiful scene with a very nice light. Thanks for sharing and nice to have you back in the family.
(Oh, and I saw a lot Elvis for you,
nice....for you)

Superbe image! Quelle belle lumière! Composition exceptionnelle. De la poésie! Bravo!
Bye, Jacques

So glad to hear that you are home and well again, and that you had your camera to keep you happy in the hospital. You have an eye for beauty, even in a hospital. Hope everything is going ok...Dennis.

Only a very special being could see beauty in a hospital room! I believe you could find beauty in a garbage dump! You bring joy and artistic awareness wherever you go and especially here at TL! Welcome back and lets hope it is for a long time to come. Hospitals are for sick folks!

Glad you're back, Kat. Beautiful PP work without doing any PP work... I really like the result.
BTW, do you ever go anywhere without your camera ? :o).

Great dreamy effect on this one, Kat - the distorted sun is particularly effective.

Take care, David

You're my kind of girl, keeping your camera handy even in the hospital! Did you get any cheeky shots of neighbors in their gowns? ;)

Seriously, this image is really cool. When I read your description I was amazed to learn it was just from the window reflection. How cool when something like that happens!

i really adore this photo... you captured me here.. :)
