I like this, Kyle - lovely POV and great blend of colours from the neon lights - sometimes that kind of light can be hard to control, but this is nice, clear and sharp. A pretty cool pic, well done!

Well i see it with a smile. But it's a special context. I saw in the new that a person actually in Belgium try to make Tintin in Congo would have to be remove from the market cause some case are very racist by the text and attitude.
It's nothing compair te the White officer and the little black shoe cleaner on it's knee!

(I realised i was fast to see the little persona is black... But i have to say i always saw that representation like that)

Ho i don't blame your photo. If the posture could hurt... It's a POV of 1943. Tintin was in the '30... The important thing is that mentality change!

Hummmm the price too i believe.. 15 cents for a shoes clean up :)
That's well presented... I enjoy that nocturm mood who give us good details of light!!

As a small icon my first thought was: The red light district in our Amsterdam :-)
But how harmless this is..wonderfull. For a 'night shot' the details are very vibrant and good sharpness. Welldone

Hi Kyle,
I like all these old neon lights and the old type of architecture. It is just a pity that so many cities in US have destroyed these buildings.
A wonderful sharp image with superb lighting.

I don't know why, but I always associate the early 40's with b&w... somehow this looks too colourful. Of course I realise that -even though there was a war on- colours were all over. Must have seen too many war pics & movies in b&w...
Nice capture, Kyle. Museums like that are always worth a visit.

Moody street scene, yes, it has a time machine effect except for the dolls that kind of let you down. The lighting and colour rendition are beautiful.

Believe it or not I have seen this or something real similar in Tokyo in the Joypolis/Sega building in Odaiba. it was a slice of Americana and I believe they have recreated this scene. I may be mistaken but it's very, very similar! I like the detail and the POV here. The composition is nice. I think this is a great street scene!

the year of my birth..1943 and having spent grade school and junior high in new jersey this is quite a reminiscent shot of my 'main street usa' memories
the 5 and 10 and the sweet shop on the corner
the drugstore where you could get a malt to last for at least 2 hours..just like arnolds..'happy days'
