This was taken at Sunken Gardens in St. Petersburg, Florida, in the butterfly house. I was able to capture three monarch butterflies sunning themselves and a lizard trying to crash the party.

Robert,
Great catch with this photo. I like this very much. The compositon of the leaves and the shadows along with the monarchs. Something about this photo that makes my eyes bounce all over the place, and I like that.

Tout simplement magnifique...d'une grande poésie...bravo..

the lighting in this is very effective - it just "feels" so warm and i can imagine they were really sun bathing.
cute note - i would have been complaining about a lizard being in the shot...but you turned it to your advantage.

oH, Robert, this is just an adorable catch. And the little lizard looks a bit quilty at being caught sunning with the flutterbys! What a delight it must have been to be in a butterfly house. Very cute shot.....:O)

What a busy shot - great capture of the wildlife. Great lighting too!

I love the texture and color of the leaves in this photo. The way you've cropped and framed it is a nice shape with the curve of the butterflies almost leading the eye to the interloper lizard. A photo that brings a smile to ones face is always a good thing in my opinion. Well done.

Very good shot, they look like monarch butterflies , the lizard is an excellent model, great photo like they say never leave home without your camera you never know when you will get a super shot like this one.
Christine.

Hi Robert,
You have view and catch this one very well, It's not easy to catch the predator and it's prey in the same photo with so great colors and details.
Great Shot,
Luc
